DataOnDeck was born out of firsthand frustration with the messy, manual world of private market reporting. After years in private equity operations, I saw founders losing hours each quarter to repetitive formatting, inconsistent templates, and endless back-and-forth with stakeholders. We built DataOnDeck to eliminate that chaos. Instead of reformatting data for every investor, LP, ESG reviewer, or lender, founders can now submit once and let the platform handle the rest. A key insight shaped our approach: after reviewing dozens of investor requests, we realized that most were asking for the same core metrics, just packaged differently. Founders were spending unnecessary time fielding duplicate requests, often for data already shared in another format. That’s when it clicked: the problem wasn’t the data — it was the delivery. We saw an opportunity to centralize submissions and route them more intelligently. The result is a founder-first reporting platform that turns a single upload into clean, permission-aware reports — ready to be shared with an unlimited number of stakeholders. Less friction. More focus.
We build with empathy for time-strapped founders. Our product adapts to their workflow — not the other way around.
Reporting shouldn’t feel like compliance. We obsess over clarity, clean interfaces, and
workflows that just make sense.
Every stakeholder wants something different. We make sure founders don’t have to
Submit the same data twice.
We believe in giving teams full visibility into what’s shared, with whom, and when down to the field level.
Data integrity, versioning, and audit trails aren’t optional. They’re foundational.
We’re constantly improving — guided by feedback, not feature bloat.
We’re partnering with a small group of founders to help shape the future of investor
reporting. If you’re tired of duplicative templates, chaotic updates, and email threads
that never end, we’d love to hear from you.
